ABOUT MIKAELA

Mikaela creates a warm, supportive space where clients feel truly seen and heard. She brings a deep sense of empathy and curiosity to her work, helping individuals explore their experiences with compassion and clarity. Known for her approachable and thoughtful nature, Mikaela tailors her approach to each client’s unique needs, fostering a sense of safety and trust.

With a background in social work and psychology, Mikaela has worked across various settings, including hospitals, the family violence sector, private practice, and university wellbeing programs. She has extensive experience supporting adolescents and adults from diverse socio-cultural backgrounds, helping them navigate a wide range of mental health challenges.

Mikaela is particularly interested in helping clients develop a more compassionate relationship with themselves, build emotional resilience, and gain clarity on what brings meaning and fulfillment to their lives. She draws on evidence-based approaches, integrating mindfulness, self-compassion, and trauma-informed care to support long-term healing and growth.

Taking a holistic, biopsychosocial approach, Mikaela understands that mental health is shaped by the complex interplay of biological, psychological, and social factors. She is committed to working collaboratively with her clients, addressing not just symptoms but the underlying factors that impact well-being.

Outside of therapy, Mikaela values staying active and understands first-hand the connection between movement and mental well-being. She believes that with the right support, everyone has the capacity for growth, self-understanding, and positive change.
