ABOUT ZAHAVA

Zahava is an experienced and empathetic therapist who fosters a safe and understanding environment for her clients. Recognized for her warm, straightforward, and respectful approach, she ensures that clients feel truly heard, valued, and supported on their journey toward meaningful personal growth. 


Zahava recognizes that seeking help can be a significant and sometimes difficult step, and she is committed to making the therapeutic process feel safe, collaborative, and empowering.


With over 30 years of experience, Zahava has worked extensively with individuals, couples, and families, helping them navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and relationship difficulties. She takes a thoughtful and personalized approach, guiding clients toward greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and meaningful change.


Drawing from her background in psychology, psychotherapy, education, and clinical supervision, Zahava integrates a range of therapeutic perspectives to meet each client’s unique needs. Her professional experience spans diverse settings, including schools, aged care, non-profit organizations, and private practice. She also holds an academic position at Monash University, where she supports Master of Counselling students.


Zahava is particularly passionate about strengthening relationships—whether it’s the connection individuals have with others or the relationship they have with themselves. She helps clients uncover new perspectives, build on their strengths, and develop strategies to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and clarity.


Important: Zahava is available via Telehealth (online) appointments only. Zahava is not currently taking on new clients.

Frequently Asked Questions

Standard Online Session $150 (50 minutes)

Couples Therapy $180 (50 minutes)

Family Therapy $180 (50 minutes) 


Peninsula Wellness & Therapy is a private billing practice and we do not accept Mental Health Care Plans or Private Health Insurance. 


Zahava is currently seeing clients via Telehealth (Online) on Monday and Tuesday evenings at 4.30pm, 5.30pm & 6.30pm. 


Zahava is not currently taking on new clients.
