Individual Counselling 14+

At Peninsula Wellness & Therapy, we provide evidence-based individual counselling for adolescents aged 14+ and adults. Our mission is to create a safe, inclusive, and affirming space where every client feels truly seen, heard, and supported. We recognise that each person’s experience is unique, which is why therapy is tailored to your individual needs - whether you are seeking support for anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional or nervous system dysregulation, neurodivergence, life transitions, or school-based and academic challenges.


We commonly support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, nervous system dysregulation, emotional regulation difficulties, burnout, and overwhelm, as well as those navigating identity development, relationship stress, and significant life transitions such as changes in school, work, or family circumstances. For adolescents, this may also include school-related stress, social challenges, and difficulties with focus, motivation, or managing emotional demands.


Our approach is grounded in evidence-based therapeutic modalities, combined with practical, real-world strategies that support meaningful and sustainable change. Rather than focusing solely on symptom relief, we work collaboratively to help you build clear, actionable tools that support greater stability, clarity, and confidence in daily life.


We take a whole-person approach that considers the connection between mind, body, and nervous system. Drawing from trauma-informed, neuroaffirming, and client-centred frameworks, we support you to:

  • Understand and regulate emotions and nervous system responses 
  • Reduce anxiety, overwhelm, and depressive symptoms 
  • Process and heal from trauma in a safe and supported way 
  • Strengthen self-esteem, identity, and self-understanding 
  • Develop emotional regulation strategies and executive functioning skills 
  • Navigate school, work, and life transitions with greater confidence 
  • Cultivate a stronger sense of calm, connection, and direction
