Katrina brings extensive experience providing individual therapy to adolescents (14+) and adults across private practice, NDIS, and community mental health settings. She supports a broad range of presentations, including anxiety, depression, trauma, disordered eating, neurodivergence, personality disorders, and experiences of sexual abuse. Katrina also supports individuals through the perinatal and postnatal period, offering compassionate and specialised care during this significant life transition. In addition, she provides psychological assessments as part of her practice.
Warm, grounded, and non-judgemental, Katrina creates a safe therapeutic space where clients can explore both their current challenges and the deeper patterns that may be impacting their wellbeing. She takes the time to understand each person as an individual, working collaboratively to support meaningful change in a way that feels realistic, respectful, and sustainable.
Katrina draws from a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Schema Therapy. Her integrative approach allows her to tailor therapy to each client, supporting them to better understand their thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and underlying patterns while developing practical strategies for meaningful and lasting change.
Katrina works with clients across both short-term and longer-term therapeutic goals, with a focus on building insight, strengthening emotional regulation, and developing practical tools to support everyday functioning and wellbeing. She takes a holistic approach, helping clients gently shift unhelpful patterns, process past experiences, and move towards a more grounded, values-aligned life.
Outside the therapy room, Katrina is a mum to three energetic boys, an ocean-lover, and an animal enthusiast with a soft spot for horses. She also at times shares her workspace with a therapy bird, who serves as a gentle reminder to slow down, stay curious, and breathe.
