Combined ADHD + Autism Assessment for individuals 16+

Meet Katrina - Registered Psychologist

Katrina is a client-focused, holistic psychologist who works with children, adolescents, and adults, supporting people to heal in ways that honour the whole person. Her approach is neuro-affirming and trauma-informed, recognising that mental health is shaped by the interaction of development, environment, lived experience, biology, and relationships — rather than by deficits or labels.

Katrina believes that neurodivergence is not something to be fixed, but an existence to be understood, supported, and respected. Her assessments are thorough, practical, and compassionate, grounded in evidence-based methods while remaining flexible to each individual’s unique neurodivergent profile, strengths, and needs.

Outside the therapy room, Katrina is a mum to three energetic boys, an ocean-lover, and an animal enthusiast with a soft spot for horses. She also shares her workspace with a therapy bird, who occasionally steals the show and reminds everyone to slow down, stay curious, and breathe.

Katrina believes that healing happens best when people feel seen, supported, and empowered to be exactly who they are. In line with this belief, she designed and piloted a low-income assessment program across Gippsland, providing individuals and families experiencing financial hardship with access to psychological services and thorough diagnostic support. Over its six-month pilot, the program achieved outstanding results.

In partnership with Peninsula Wellness & Therapy, the program’s diagnostic component has now been expanded Australia-wide, offering combined ADHD and Autism assessments. This ensures that everyone, regardless of socio-economic status, can access thorough and professional diagnostic services.

FAQs

Can you prescribe medication?

No, a psychologist cannot prescribe medication. Psychologists focus on providing evidence-based therapies, assessments, and support for mental health and wellbeing. If medication is something you wish to explore, this will need to be done in collaboration with a medical professional such as a psychiatrist. They can assess whether medication may be helpful for your symptoms and provide ongoing monitoring if it’s prescribed. Psychologists often work alongside these professionals to ensure that therapy and any medication support each other for the best outcomes.

Who is this assessment suitable for?

This combined ADHD and Autism assessment, conducted by a psychologist, is suitable for anyone who suspects they may have ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), or both. It is particularly helpful for adults who have experienced lifelong difficulties with attention, focus, social communication, executive functioning, or sensory processing, and want a clearer understanding of their neurodevelopmental profile. The assessment can also support access to tailored strategies, therapy, or accommodations at work, study, or in daily life.

Will I receive a formal diagnosis?

If criteria for ADHD and/or Autism are met, Katrina will provide a formal diagnosis and diagnostic report. Even if you do not meet full criteria, the assessment will clarify your profile and highlight strategies or supports that may benefit you.

Can I book just an ADHD or just an Autism Assessment?

Yes. The cost remains the same.

When making your booking you can select from the following 3 options:

  • Combined ADHD + Autism Assessment
  • Autism Assessment only
  • ADHD Assessment only.

Why are your prices so affordable?

This is a conscious choice we have made for our practice. We are deeply aware that the cost of ADHD and Autism assessments has become a significant barrier for many people, often placing essential diagnostic support out of reach.

We believe that clarity, validation, and appropriate recommendations should not be reserved only for those who can afford several thousand dollars. Our aim is to reduce financial stress while still delivering a comprehensive, evidence-based assessment that meets professional and ethical standards.

How will this assessment help me?

The assessment provides clarity about your cognitive, emotional, and behavioural patterns. It helps you understand your strengths, challenges, and strategies to improve daily functioning, manage symptoms, and access appropriate supports at work, study, or in personal life.

Is this assessment suitable for children?

No. This assessment is for individuals aged 16 years and over only.

Are Medicare rebates available?

No. There is no Medicare rebate available for this assessment.

Cancellations and Refunds
