Meet The Team

Beck

Beck brings warmth, expertise, and a deep sense of care to her work as a therapist. Known for her ability to be both direct and deeply supportive, she understands that seeking support can feel overwhelming and is committed to creating a space where clients feel genuinely heard, respected, and supported in their journey toward well-being.


With a background in biomedical science, counselling, and nursing, Beck offers a unique, integrative approach to mental and physical health. She recognizes the intricate connection between the mind and body and works with clients to navigate challenges in a way that feels holistic and empowering.


As the founder of Peninsula Wellness & Therapy, Beck is passionate about helping individuals move from feeling stuck to feeling capable and in control of their lives. She works with a broad range of concerns, including anxiety, chronic illness, trauma, and self-development, always tailoring her approach to suit each person’s needs.  She combines evidence-based interventions with a strong emphasis on providing clients with the tools and strategies they need to move forward. Her focus is not just on offering a space to vent, but on empowering clients to build resilience and gain a deeper understanding of themselves as they take actionable steps toward growth. 


Beck believes that meaningful change happens within the context of a supportive and trusting relationship. Whether someone is seeking therapy to address mental health concerns or guidance to support personal growth, she brings an open-minded, collaborative, and practical approach to every session. 


Outside of her work, Beck is a wife and a mum to a strong and spirited little girl, which gives her first-hand insight into the challenges of balancing personal growth, family life, and well-being. She is passionate about equipping clients with the tools they need to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and clarity.

Mikaela

Mikaela creates a warm, supportive space where clients feel truly seen and heard. She brings a deep sense of empathy and curiosity to her work, helping individuals explore their experiences with compassion and clarity. Known for her approachable and thoughtful nature, Mikaela tailors her approach to each client’s unique needs, fostering a sense of safety and trust.


With a background in social work and psychology, Mikaela has worked across various settings, including hospitals, the family violence sector, private practice, and university wellbeing programs. She has extensive experience supporting adolescents and adults from diverse socio-cultural backgrounds, helping them navigate a wide range of mental health challenges.


Mikaela is particularly interested in helping clients develop a more compassionate relationship with themselves, build emotional resilience, and gain clarity on what brings meaning and fulfillment to their lives. She draws on evidence-based approaches, integrating mindfulness, self-compassion, and trauma-informed care to support long-term healing and growth.


Taking a holistic, biopsychosocial approach, Mikaela understands that mental health is shaped by the complex interplay of biological, psychological, and social factors. She is committed to working collaboratively with her clients, addressing not just symptoms but the underlying factors that impact well-being.


Outside of therapy, Mikaela values staying active and understands first-hand the connection between movement and mental well-being. She believes that with the right support, everyone has the capacity for growth, self-understanding, and positive change.
